Delete your Zynger account
Request deletion of your Zynger account and associated personal data. You do not need to be signed in to the app.

How to request deletion on this page
Enter the email address on your Zynger account. If a matching account exists, we send a confirmation link to that address. Open the link, review what will be deleted, type DELETE, and confirm. You do not need to be signed in to the app. We do not tell you whether an email belongs to a Zynger account.
Confirmation links expire after 15 minutes and can be used only once. After you confirm, access is revoked immediately and server-side deletion usually finishes within a few minutes and may take up to 24 hours. Deletion is not instantaneous for every stored object; Redis, media, and related cleanup run as a tracked job until verified.
Delete in the app
Open Zynger → You → Settings → Delete account. Type DELETE and confirm with your password or a fresh Google sign-in. This uses the same server-side deletion process as this website. Use the app if you signed in with Facebook or another method and do not have an email on the account.
What you need to provide
- The email address registered on your Zynger account (including a Google email if you signed in with Google).
- Access to that inbox so you can open the confirmation link.
- The word DELETE typed on the confirmation step.
What happens after you confirm
- You are signed out immediately and existing sessions are revoked. You cannot sign back in with the deleted account.
- We start the same purge used by in-app deletion: profile, photos, media, location, sessions, and other personal data described below.
- Cleanup usually finishes within a few minutes and may take up to 24 hours. A failed cleanup is retried until verified. We do not restore the account.
What we delete
- Account information: email, phone number, password hash, date of birth, consents, sessions, and social sign-in links.
- Profile information and user-generated profile content, including health and social fields you added.
- Profile photos, Vault/albums, chat media you owned, Available session photos, and other media files in object storage.
- Location-related personal data (precise coordinates, live location sessions, Available location).
- Filters, favorites, likes, nudges, profile views, notification preferences, and push notification tokens.
- Authentication records and password-reset or web deletion tokens.
- Reports and blocks involving your account, under current policy (unless a separate legal hold is required).
What may remain
- Ordinary text messages already visible to another adult in a chat may stay in that chat so their history is not erased. Your sender identity is removed and shown as Deleted Account. Images, videos, location shares, and album cards you sent are removed or scrubbed. Reason: the remaining participant’s conversation history. Period: for as long as that conversation exists for the remaining user.
- An internal deletion job tombstone with no public access, no user relation, and no marketing use may exist for up to 30 days after cleanup is verified, then it is deleted. Reason: to prove cleanup and suppress restored backups. Period: 30 days after verification.
- Encrypted infrastructure backups are retained no longer than 30 days and are not readable by the application. Restores must replay the deletion ledger before traffic is allowed.
- We may retain limited information when required for security, fraud prevention, or law (for example, a CSAM report already made to authorities). We do not keep a deleted-user marketing archive.
- Google AdMob and similar processors retain data under their own policies; we ask providers that process data for us to delete it when you delete your account, where they act as our processors.

Freezing is not deletion
Logging out or disabling notifications is not account deletion. Deletion is permanent and you cannot restore the same account.
